The disengagement will be disastrous for the Palestinians

Even that the disengagement has barely began, there are already fighting among the various Palestinian groups. Two days ago a PA armored vehicle was burned by the crowd. It is only a matter of time until the real fighting will break out, and by the time Israel would completely pull out of the Gaza strip, the will be complete chaos.
If it was Mr. Sharon's plan to destroy the PA, then, I believe, it is going to succeed.

Come on now, chaos is their natural state of equilibrium, how can it destroy them? :)

It all depends on where that chaos turns. If it remains limited to their own wasp-nest, then who cares. But if it spreads... : (

The upcoming chaos will destroy anything left from the PA government structures. Probably when they kill enough of each other, of the militant organizations will prevail, probably Hamas, or they will divide the PA into territories of influence.
They will probably try to provoke Israel to make Israel interfere, to allow themselves to stop fighting each other without loosing face, since fighting Israel is the only thing that really unites them, besides their lust for power.
